論電影《喜福會(huì)》中的中國(guó)形象

【摘要】:由王穎執(zhí)導(dǎo),改編自譚恩美的同名暢銷(xiāo)小說(shuō)電影《喜福會(huì)》于1993年在美國(guó)上映,并取得巨大成功。影片中的中國(guó)是一副災(zāi)難重重的景象,人們似乎永遠(yuǎn)厄運(yùn)纏身,,尤其是中國(guó)女人。本文試圖分析電影中中國(guó)形象的建構(gòu)及其成因,預(yù)期得出以下結(jié)論:電影中呈現(xiàn)的他者化的中國(guó)形象是受到歷史上美國(guó)民眾對(duì)中國(guó)形象的集體想象和作家譚恩美獨(dú)特的個(gè)人經(jīng)歷和中國(guó)淵源的影響而建構(gòu)而成的。 本論文共由五部分構(gòu)成。第一部分簡(jiǎn)要介紹了本論文的論點(diǎn)、文獻(xiàn)綜述、論文的新意、研究的意義以及論文的結(jié)構(gòu)。第二部分為第一章,通過(guò)語(yǔ)詞和故事情節(jié)塑造的中國(guó)人物的刻板形象。論文分析并考察了影片中各色中國(guó)人物的言辭和遭遇,指出電影中所呈現(xiàn)的中國(guó)人物形象是一種刻板的陳腐的人物形象。第三部分為第二章,論文分析了劇中場(chǎng)景,揭露了影片中呈現(xiàn)的異域化中國(guó)形象并考察了其歷史淵源。第四部分為第三章,論文考察了影片中折射出的扭曲的中國(guó)文化,探析了其建構(gòu)過(guò)程及文化成因。第五部分對(duì)電影呈現(xiàn)的中國(guó)形象、其構(gòu)成以及成因進(jìn)行總結(jié)并得出結(jié)論:電影中呈現(xiàn)出的落后、異域、他者化的中國(guó)形象的形成受到了歷史、個(gè)人及文化等多重因素的共同影響,旨在符合并滿足美國(guó)民眾對(duì)中國(guó)文化的集體想象。
[Abstract]:Directed by Wang Ying and adapted from Amy Tan's best-selling novel, the Joy Luck Club, was released in the United States in 1993 with great success. China in the film is a disaster-ridden scene, people seem to be doomed forever, especially Chinese women. This paper attempts to analyze the construction of Chinese film image and its causes. It is expected to draw the following conclusions: the Chinese image presented in the film is constructed by the collective imagination of the American people on the Chinese image in history and the influence of the writer Amy Tan's unique personal experience and Chinese origin. This thesis consists of five parts. The first part briefly introduces the arguments, literature review, new ideas, significance and structure of the paper. The second part is the first chapter, through the words and the story plot portrays the Chinese character stereotype image. This paper analyzes and examines the words and experiences of Chinese characters of all kinds in the film, and points out that the Chinese characters presented in the films are stereotypical and stale characters. The third part is the second chapter, the thesis analyzes the scene of the play, exposes the exotic Chinese image in the film and examines its historical origin. The fourth part is the third chapter, the thesis examines the distorted Chinese culture reflected in the film, analyzes its construction process and cultural causes. The fifth part summarizes the Chinese image presented by the film, its composition and causes, and draws the conclusion that the formation of the Chinese image of the film, which is backward, exotic and other-oriented, has been history. The combined influence of individual and cultural factors is designed to meet and satisfy the collective imagination of American people about Chinese culture.
