【摘要】：本文是一篇英譯漢翻譯實踐報告。所選原著是美國著名蒙元史學(xué)家Timothy May教授的最新專著《蒙古人的戰(zhàn)爭藝術(shù)》。選譯部分是該著作的第7、8、9章,分別講述了蒙古軍隊的戰(zhàn)爭對手、體現(xiàn)蒙古人戰(zhàn)爭藝術(shù)的典型戰(zhàn)役、蒙古戰(zhàn)爭藝術(shù)的巨大價值和影響力。中譯文字?jǐn)?shù)共有3萬多余字。該報告首先簡述該翻譯實踐報告的翻譯背景、翻譯目的、翻譯理由和翻譯報告的整體結(jié)構(gòu),源文本作者和主要內(nèi)容,文本體裁和語言特征,譯前準(zhǔn)備、翻譯過程和譯后審校流程。其次重點分析翻譯過程中遇到的難點和相應(yīng)的翻譯方法。翻譯難點集中體現(xiàn)為:(1)文化詞和武器術(shù)語的漢譯;(2)定語從句、狀語從句和結(jié)構(gòu)復(fù)雜的長句的理解和漢譯。實踐報告認(rèn)為可以采用以下翻譯方法來解決上述難點:(1)添加腳注法翻譯文化詞;(2)采用腳注法和插圖法來翻譯武器術(shù)語;(3)采用前置法和后置法重構(gòu)原文中定語從句語序后進(jìn)行漢譯;(4)使用順譯法和逆譯法翻譯原文中的部分狀語從句;(5)采用拆分法和重組法來降低源文本中長句的難度,重新構(gòu)建符合漢語學(xué)術(shù)專著的表達(dá)形式。報告最后總結(jié)了此次翻譯實踐報告的主要內(nèi)容以及從本次翻譯實踐報告中獲得的經(jīng)驗。
[Abstract]:This paper is a practical report on English-Chinese translation. The original book is the latest monograph, the Art of War of the Mongols, by Professor Timothy May, a famous American Mongol historian. The selected and translated part is the 7th chapter of this work, which describes the war opponents of the Mongolian army, embodies the typical battle of the Mongolian war art, and the great value and influence of the Mongolian war art. There are 30, 000 extra words in the Chinese translation. The report begins with a brief description of the translation background, translation purpose, translation reasons and the overall structure of the translation report, the author and main content of the source text, the genre and linguistic characteristics of the text, and pre-translation preparation. Translation process and post-translation revision process. Secondly, the difficulties encountered in the process of translation and the corresponding translation methods are analyzed. The translation difficulties are mainly embodied in the translation of cultural words and weapons terms into Chinese) attributive clauses adverbial clauses and long sentences with complicated structures. The practical report suggests that the following translation methods can be used to solve the above difficulties: 1) add the footnote method to translate the cultural word Guan2) use the footnote method and the illustration method to translate the weapon term "Guan3") and reconstruct the attributive clause in the original text by the preposition method and the postposition method. In order to reduce the difficulty of the long sentences in the source text, we use the method of line translation and inverse translation to translate some adverbial clauses in the original text, using split method and recombination method to reduce the difficulty of the long sentences in the source text, so as to reduce the difficulty of the long sentences in the source text. Reconstructing the form of expression in accordance with the Chinese academic monographs. Finally, the report summarizes the main contents of the translation practice report and the experience gained from the translation practice report.
