[Abstract]:The report aims to discuss potential discrimination in employment, some of which are not included by the government. So Jessica urged the government to redefine employment discrimination in order to protect people from better employment. This practice is full-text translation. The translator is deeply interested in the social problems related to the law, so he chose the article "reflection on the harm of Employment Discrimination". Translation of legal materials is a great challenge for translators, but it will also help their translation practice in the future. According to Pete. Newmark's theory of text analysis, the original text can be classified as informational text. The legal language is complex and difficult. This complexity and difficulty is attributed to the law and the nature of the legal language. In addition, the legal language is authoritative and requires the translator to be very strict in choosing the right meaning. It is especially difficult for a translator who is not familiar with legal language to translate legal language accurately. In the face of these difficulties, translators have made use of dictionaries and internet resources on laws, translation methods and techniques. In addition, she also referred to some translation books, and used some common methods and techniques. The translation report contains four chapters. The first chapter is the introduction of the project, including the background, significance, goal and structure of the project. The second chapter is about pre-translation preparation. This paper analyzes the original text and its linguistic features. Then, according to the linguistic characteristics of the text, the translator expounds the important and difficult points in translation. The third chapter analyzes the examples in detail.
