【摘要】：傳統翻譯理論注重對于語言層面問題的研究,認為翻譯就是用另外一種語言對原著進行復刻,是一種無創(chuàng)造性的工作。相比譯者和譯作,原著作者和原著擁有神圣不可侵犯的地位。譯者曾被稱作原著作者的“奴隸”或“仆人”。譯者在對原著進行翻譯的過程中必須無條件的尊重原著,要忠實地再現和反映原著的思想內容以及風格,不能對原著進行任何修改或者增刪。譯者的主觀能動性被嚴重忽視。20世紀90年代西方翻譯研究領域出現“文化轉向”,翻譯學者們開始注重翻譯問題中的文化因素。安德烈·勒菲弗爾指出,文化是一個由多個系統組成的復雜系統,而文學就是其中的一個系統。這種以文化為導向的研究方法使得譯者主體性的重要性逐漸凸顯。自此,來自各個學派的學者都開始意識到譯者主體性的重要性并對其展開研究。1925年,《了不起的蓋茨比》問世,奠定了其作者菲茲杰拉德在現代美國文學史上的地位。使其成為20年代“爵士時代”的發(fā)言人和“迷惘的一代”的代表作家之一。作為菲茲杰拉德的代表作,《了不起的蓋茨比》曾被翻譯成多種語言。2013年,李繼宏的版本問世。當時正值電影《了不起的蓋茨比》上映,這使李繼宏版本的翻譯得到了巨大的關注。李繼宏稱自己的譯作是迄今為止最優(yōu)秀的譯作,這也引來了很大的爭議。本論文對譯者主體性理論的定義,特性以及譯者地位進行了系統的梳理,并以喬治高和李繼宏的版本為例,對兩本譯本中譯者主體性進行對比研究。從譯者主體性的能動性、被動性以及目的性三個方面對兩部譯作中所體現的譯者主體性進行對比分析,使讀者對兩個譯本有進一步了理解,揭示能動性、被動性以及目的性三者之間的關系和影響翻譯的種種因素并證明譯者主體性對文學翻譯的指導價值。
[Abstract]:The traditional translation theory focuses on the study of linguistic aspects and holds that translation is a kind of uncreative work in which the original works are reproduced in another language.Compared with the translator and the translator, the author and the original have the status of sanctity and inviolability.Translators have been called "slaves" or "servants" of the original author.In the process of translating the original work, the translator must unconditionally respect the original work, faithfully reproduce and reflect the ideological content and style of the original work, and cannot modify or add or delete the original work.The translator's subjective initiative was seriously ignored. In the 1990s, there was a "cultural turn" in the field of western translation studies, and translation scholars began to pay attention to the cultural factors in translation issues.Andre Lefevere points out that culture is a complex system composed of multiple systems, and literature is one of them.This cultural-oriented approach makes the translator's subjectivity more and more important.Since then, scholars from various schools have begun to realize the importance of the translator's subjectivity and study it. In 1925, the Great Gatsby was published, which established the position of its author Fitzgerald in the history of modern American literature.He became a spokesman for the Jazz Age in the 1920s and one of the representative writers of the lost Generation.The Great Gatsby, the masterpiece of Fitzgerald, was translated into many languages. Li Jihong's version came out in 2013.The release of the film the Great Gatsby drew great attention to Li Jihong's translation.Li Jihong called his translation the best translation to date, which was also controversial.This thesis makes a systematic analysis of the definition, characteristics and translator's status of the translator's subjectivity theory, and makes a comparative study of the translator's subjectivity in the two versions, taking the versions of George Gao and Li Jihong as examples.This paper makes a comparative analysis of the translator's subjectivity in the three aspects of the translator's subjectivity, passivity and purposiveness, so that readers can have a better understanding of the two versions and reveal their initiative.The relationship between passivity and purposefulness and the factors affecting translation prove the guiding value of the translator's subjectivity in literary translation.
