中美新聞發(fā)言人答記者問中模糊限制語的對比研究

模糊限制語作為模糊語的核心成員,一直受到國內(nèi)外學(xué)者的廣泛關(guān)注。通過文獻(xiàn)回顧發(fā)現(xiàn),從語用、語篇、社會語言學(xué)層面對模糊限制語的研究層出不窮,其中,模糊限制語在外交中的應(yīng)用備受關(guān)注,然而現(xiàn)有的研究主要以中文或英文外交發(fā)言稿為語料對模糊限制語的使用情況進(jìn)行語用分析,針對中美外交部發(fā)言人答記者問中模糊限制語的對比研究卻鮮有深入剖析�；诖�,本研究以Varttala(2001)對詞匯型模糊限制語的分類作為標(biāo)準(zhǔn),以111篇中美外交部發(fā)言人答記者問英文稿為研究對象,采取定量與定性相結(jié)合的分析方法,通過自建的語料庫及Antconc.3.2.4檢索統(tǒng)計數(shù)據(jù)工具,對中美發(fā)言人答語樣本中模糊限制語的使用頻率、分布情況及其使用動因進(jìn)行對比分析。結(jié)果表明:其一,詞匯型模糊限制語在中美發(fā)言人語料中整體使用頻繁,并且Varttala所劃分的5種模糊限制語詞類均被廣泛應(yīng)用;其二,在中美語料庫中,模糊限制動詞為發(fā)言人使用頻率最高的詞類,模糊限制名詞的使用頻率次之;其三,美方發(fā)言人對詞匯型模糊限制語的使用頻率和種類均超過了中方發(fā)言人;其四,兩國發(fā)言人在詞匯型模糊限制語的使用頻率上呈現(xiàn)不同特征,其中,中方發(fā)言人的情態(tài)動詞使用頻...
